SnapShots

SnapShots is a selection of features and images of the portrayal of Australians over 50 ‘in History’ and ‘Today’. It includes images of Australians over 50 throughout the history of Australia, illustrating past fashion and lifestyles. There is a current section of images ‘Today’, which are updated on a fortnightly basis. If you have seen examples of how Australians over 50 live in their community, whether it is positive of negative, email us at snapshots@seniors.gov.au with your suggestions.

in History is selected images from each decade, from pre-1900 to 2000, illustrating how images of the Australian community over 50 have evolved.

Today

Today features current visual and written representations which promote positive images and lifestyles of Australians over 50. There is also a Today Archive, where you can view previous 'Today' snapshots.
