Tax help for bushfire affected people

The Australian Taxation Office can help people who are experiencing difficulties meeting their tax obligations due to recent bushfires.

If your tax records have been damaged or destroyed or your business has been affected, call the Tax Office on 13 11 42 (option 3) and discuss your situation with them.

They can help by giving you extra time pay debts or fast track any refunds you may be entitled to.

This help may also apply to people who have been affected by other natural disasters including flood, storm and drought.
